New Delhi: Ansha Afridi, the daughter of Pakistani cricketing icon Shahid Afridi, and the Pakistani fast bowling spearhead Shaheen Afridi got remarried in a lavish ceremony on Tuesday, in Karachi.
The duo first got married in a secret ‘Nikah’ ceremony earlier this year in accordance with Afridi tribal traditions. On February 3, they were married during a noon ‘Nikah.’
However, Shaheen and Ansha both acknowledged their marriage in July by posting images of the private ceremony on their own social media accounts. They also requested their fans not to overshare the pictures and respect their privacy.
Shaheed and Ansha made the decision to remarry in a grand fashion, in a public wedding, contrary to their secret wedding in February, because they wanted to honour and celebrate their love with family and friends.
The bride’s father, the Pakistani legend Shahid Afridi, also shared the wedding pictures through his Instagram post.
The second wedding ceremony also served the purpose of the wedding reception.
Pakistani cricket team skipper, Babar Azam, who is a close friend of Shaheen Afridi, also attended the wedding and was greeted with a hug by the latter. Check the video below:

Notably, Shaheen Afridi will soon be travelling to India to take part in the upcoming ICC ODO World Cup 2023, as a part of a 15-member squad led by Babar Azam.
