Pant and Dhoni seen enjoying tennis action after an intense IPL auction in Dubai (Video)

IPL 2024 auction took place in Coca Cola arena in Dubai on Tuesday.

New Delhi: The Indian Premier League 2024 auction created multiple records on Tuesday, when not once, but twice it broke the record for the most expensive player in the history of IPL.

First, it was the Aussie captain Pat Cummins who fetched a record price of 20.50 crore by the Sunrisers Hyderabad, but soon his countryman and another Aussie pacer, Mitchell Starc, broke the bank once again as he received a record bid of 20.75 crore from Kolkata Knight Riders.

Notably, one of the biggest attractions during the auction, except for the players going under the hammer, was the Delhi Capitals’ skipper Rishabh Pant, who became the first-ever IPL captain, who attended the official auction in the history of IPL.

Pant’s presence was a breeze of fresh air for his fans, as this was the first public appearance by the Indian southpaw, after his life-threatening accident earlier this year.

However, this was not the only treat Pant had in store for his fans in the day, as after the auction proceedings were done, the southpaw was seen playing tennis in an indoor court with his idol and current CSK skipper, MS Dhoni.

In the video, Pant can be seen enjoying the action-paced game and even receiving cheers after his amazing returns to the former Indian captain.

Auction review of Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings is not one of those teams who makes white noise around their team, as they back their already settled playing eleven for a long period of time.

But, after losing Ambati Rayudu and Ben Stokes, they were looking for some class players to add to their squad, which they eventually did.

CSK, bought Shardul Thakur, one of their old players, along with ICC World Cup heroes Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell from New Zealand.

CSK also bought Mustafizur Rahman and young Indian Sameer Rizvi, all in all making their auction a big success.
