Sindhu who is making a return to the badminton court following a long injury has one foot in the round of 16. The Indian shuttler has relatively been at ease facing the Estonian as well as the Maldivian shuttler Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq. However, these are relatively easier ties and she will be facing a tough competition in the upcoming round of 16 rounds.

Lakshya Sen comes from behind against Jonatan Christie!
Trailing 8-2 in the first game, Lakshya Sen made a remarkable comeback to win the first game 21-18 against the World No. 3 Jonatan Christie. The first game went down the wire as the scores tied 18-18 at one stage. This was however expected as both shuttles have been part of some neck-to-neck competitions in the past.
Paris2024 #Olympics #Badminton Lakshya Sen takes the opening game, an absolutely thrilling back-and-forth battle with plenty of momentum shifts. From the supposed tougher side too.
But don’t count JoJo out just yet. He’s a good backs-to-the-wall player pic.twitter.com/0OlPw64Cur

The second game also started for Sen as the Indian shuttler was not able to take the lead from the start. However, some unforced errors and wrong judgements from Christie tilted the scoreline in favour of the Indian shuttler.
LAKSHYA SEN YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING 🇮🇳
WOW ,What a time to pull off a behind-the-back shot in the middle of a furious flat exchange, and to eventually win the rally to set up game point. THAT IS SENsational. 🎯#Badminton #Paris2024 pic.twitter.com/0UbLf50y5J
