New Delhi: Parthiv Patel has recently joined the Gujarat Titans as the new batting coach for the side after former batting coach Gary Kirsten pledged his allegiance to the Pakistani national team and took over as the head coach for the side.

The Gujarat-born cricketer once again returns to home soil after a long with a strong will to take his side over the finish line. Earlier, Parthiv had been involved as a talent scout for five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians (MI). After his retirement in 2020, Parthiv had been involved in the role, alongside duties as a cricket commentator and pundit.

According to the latest reports, the BCCI is scheduled to host the mega auction for IPL 2025 in the third or fourth weekend of November.

Insider reports have confirmed that like last year, this year also the Mega Auction is once again set to take place overseas and a location in the Middle East is likely. Earlier, during the 2024 IPL auction, the bidding took place for the first time outside India. Now, another Gulf city could be chosen this time around such as Doha or Abu Dhabi.
