New Delhi: As Brazilian football legend, Pele’s health deteriorates, his daughter and son have shared heartwarming pictures on social media. The 82-year-old ex-footballer is currently suffering from cancer, which has reportedly worsened, as well as kidney and heart problems and is admitted to a hospital in Sao Paulo. His daughter, Kely Cristina Nascimento and son, Edinho shared pictures from the Albert Einstein Jewish Hospital.
Kely shared a picture in which she can be seen hugging Pele on his hospital bed. Meanwhile, the family also spent their Christmas at the hospital and Kely captured those emotional moments on camera. Pelé’s granddaughter Sophia can also be seen in the family pictures.
Brazilian football coach and Pele’s son Edinho also shared a picture earlier this month, calling his father his ‘king’.

According to the statement issued by the hospital, Pele was admitted for a respiratory infection and re-evaluation of the chemotherapy treatment. He is undergoing treatment for colon cancer identified in September 2021. He was admitted last month after he tested positive for COVID-19 and he said that the chemotherapy has made him weak.
He has been receiving a lot of messages from the football fraternity and fans. Earlier, the family also took out time to thank his fans for the good wishes.

Pele is arguably the best footballer ever and has scored 1,281 goals in 1,363 professional games. He has featured in four FIFA World Cups for Brazil and has won three out of them, scoring 12 goals in 14 games. He has numerous records to his name, which still look difficult to ever break.
