New Delhi: Season ten of the Pro Kabaddi league is heading towards the end of the Ahmedabad leg, and the host team of Gujarat Giants is the most satisfied team, as they have won 3 out of 3 of the matches they have played so far in the season.
On Tuesday, day 4 of the first leg, the hosts, the Gujarat Giants, took on the U Mumba team to register their third straight win in the tournament.
There was only one match scheduled for the fourth day, unlike the two matches per day as per the usual format.
The match between Giants and Mumba started at a fast pace, with both teams getting points on every raid at the beginning of the match, so much so that the first empty raid of the match came in the seventh minute of the first half.

U Mumba was the first one to break the deadlock by removing Giants’ captain Fazel Atrachali from the mat and making the most of his absence to take the 6-point lead over the hosts.

However, once Fazel returned to the court, Giants took back control and turned the tables by getting the 11-point lead over the guests.

Interestingly, with the help of Amirmohammad Zafardanesh and Guman Singh, U Mumba tied down the score to 35-35 with 50 seconds to go, but Gujrat’s hero from the last two games, Sonu Jaglan, once again rose to the occasion and completed a super raid of 3 points, to extend his teams undefeated run to 3 matches, and cementing their place on the top of the table.
