PKL 2023: Jaipur completes home leg unbeaten, while Gujarat outshines Delhi to cement top 6 position, check out the complete points table

PKL 2023: Jaipur Pink Panthers became the first team of season 10 to finish their home leg unbeaten.

New Delhi: Leg seven of the Pro Kabaddi League, season 10, has finally come to an end, and the home team, Jaipur Pink Panthers, became the first team in season 10 to win all their home leg matches so far.

The inaugural and defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers are still going strong at the top of the points table after their dominant home leg run, while in the second position, Puneri Paltan are now six points short of the table toppers with two fewer matches played.

Dabang Delhi, Gujrat Giants and Haryana Steelers are the next three in the points table with the same number of points in the same number of matches, i.e., 44 points in 13 matches, but are separated on the basis of score difference while the sixth position is still open for contention at the moment with small points difference between lower teams.

Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Indoor Stadium, on Wednesday, hosted the final two matches of leg seven, with Dabang Delhi taking on the Gujarat Giants while the hosts Jaipur Pink Panthers going up against the Haryana Steelers.

In the first match of the Gujarat Giants went toe-to-toe with Dabang Delhi in order to close the point gap between the two sides.

Dabang Delhi, with the help of Ashu Singh (13 raid points), kept the match open for a long time, but it was Gujarat Giants’ defensive prowess that prevailed in the end with the final scoreline of 31 to 26.

In the second match of the day, the defending champions and hosts Jaipur Pink Panthers took on the Haryana Steelers in order to become the first team to win all four of their home leg matches.

Panthers, with the help of Arjun Deshwal (9 raid points) and Ankush (5 tackle points), did get the job done as the final scoreline read 37 to 27 in Panthers’ favour.

The PKL train will have a rest day on Thursday before the action resumes on Friday in Hyderabad for the eighth leg.
