PKL 2023: Jaipur Pink Panthers jumps to top spot, Bengal Warriors back in top 6, check out the complete points table

PKL 2023: Jaipur Pink Panthers and Bengal Warriors put on exhilarating shows on Saturday to climb in points table.

New Delhi: Leg seven of the Pro Kabaddi League, season 10, is nearing its end as the home team is making the most of their advantage to accelerate their steps towards the playoffs.

Jaipur Pink Panthers, along with Puneri Paltans, are the favourites to become the first two teams to seal their place in the playoffs, with all the other teams still battling it out day in and day out to keep with the top two teams.

Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Indoor Stadium hosted the iconic 1000th and 1001st match of the PKL history on Monday night, with U Mumba going up against Jaipur Pink Panthers and Bengal Warriors locking horns with Bengaluru Bulls.

In the first match of the day, Bengal Warriors and Bengaluru Bulls went toe-to-toe to boost their rather lacklustre season and claim their place in the top 6.

Bulls took the early lead in the match, but the Warriors made a stunning comeback to end the first half with a lead on their side.

Bulls in the second half once again took back the lead, but Maninder Singh-led Bengal Warriors once again made a scintillating comeback in the later part of the second half to end the match with the final scoreline of 35 to 29 in their favour.

Maninder Singh (9 raid points) and Shubham Shinde (7 tackle points) were Bengal’s heroes on Monday night.

In the second match of the day, hosts and the defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers went toe-to-toe against the U Mumba in a bid to keep their home-leg winning streak alive.

The two teams who kickstarted the PKL were up against each other in the iconic 1001st match also.

The match went close as expected, but Arjun Deshwal and Panthers kept their nerves in check and finally ended up registering a close two-point win over their adversaries.

Arjun Deshwal (11 raid points) and Sahul (4 tackle points), were the heroes for the hosts on Monday night.
