PKL 2023: Patna Pirates jumps to number fifth spot, UP Yoddhas also gains, check out the complete points table

PKL 2023: Patna and UP returns to winning ways after registering emphatic wins of first day of leg five.

New Delhi: The leg five of the Pro Kabaddi League, season 10, has begun with two of the local teams getting a huge ‘W’ on the first day.

On the first day of leg five, UP’s Noida Indoor Stadium hosted two important matches between Patna Pirates and Haryana Steelers and also between UP Yoddhas and Bengaluru Bulls.

In the first match of the day, the three-time champions, Patna Pirates, took on the high-flying Haryana Steelers in order to get back to winning ways.

Haryana Steelers were on top in the first 10 minutes of the match, but the Pirates made a strong comeback using former Steelers player Manjeet.

Pirates’ defence and raiding both worked in perfect sync, as they finished the match with the final scoreline of 46-33 in their favour.

Manjeet (13 raid points) and Krishan Dhull (5 tackle points) were the stars for Patna Pirates on Friday night.

In the second match of the day, the hosts UP Yoddhas took on the Bengaluru Bulls and were finally able to break the host team curse of the Pro Kabaddi League season 10.

Bulls took the early lead in the match, but the record breaker, Pardeep Narwal, helped his team make a strong comeback in the second half.

Bulls tried to make a comeback in the final minutes of the match but fell short by just one point, as the UP Yoddhas ran away with a win in the end.

Pardeep Narwal (10 raid points) and Nitesh Kumar (5 tackle points) were the leaders of Yoddhas in the win.
