New Delhi: Leg nine of the Pro Kabaddi League, season 10, is about to end, as the league witnessed their first elimination of the season in the form of Pawan Sehrawat’s Telugu Titans.
By the end of match number 97, three teams are headed strongly towards the playoffs, i.e., Puneri Paltan with 68 points in 16 matches, the defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers with 66 points in 16 matches, and Dabang Delhi KC with 59 points in 16 matches.
Meanwhile, Telugu Titans became the first team to get officially eliminated from the playoff race in season 10, while with only 23 points in 16 games, UP Yoddhas are expected to join them soon.
On Tuesday, Patna’s Patliputra Indoor Stadium, along with action-packed KBD juniors action, also hosted an important match, where Pawan Sehrawat-led Telugu Titans took on the red-hot Puneri Paltan in a bid to keep their playoff hopes alive.
However, the now table toppers of the season, Puneri Paltan showed no mercy on the struggling Telugu Titans and crushed their hopes in a one-sided affair, with the final scoreline reading 60 to 29 in Paltan’s favour.

Titans were so helpless that in the entire first half, they failed to get even one tackle point, while Paltan inflicted two all-outs on them in the same amount of time.

Akash Shinde (11 raid points) and Mohammadreza Chiyaneh (5 tackle points) were Paltan’s lead heroes for the night.
With this win, Puneri Paltan has climbed back to the number one spot in the points table and is now only one win away from officially qualifying for the playoffs.
