PSL 2023: Shaheen Shah Afridi breaks bat, uproots stumps as Qalandars beat Zalmi (WATCH)

Bowling the first ball in the inning, Shaheen hit the bat with such a pace that Harris was left with just the handle.

New Delhi: Shaheen Shah Afridi picked a five-wicket haul to restrict Peshawar Zalmi to 201 and win the game in the ongoing PSL 2023. However, it was something else that caught up everyone’s attention. Starting the inning, Shaheen bowled at a stunning pace breaking Mohammed Harris’ bat into two.

Bowling the first ball in the inning, Shaheen hit the bat with such a pace that Harris was left with just the handle. And in the next delivery itself, the pacer dismissed Harris on the next ball as his stumps went rattled.

The video of the two deliveries was shared by the official handle of PSL and went viral on the internet. Shaheen’s fans went gaga over the deliveries and the pacer kept on delivering by dismissing Babar Azam for 7 in his next over.

Shaheen’s third wicket came in the 17th over when Fakhar Zaman took a blinder at extra cover to dismiss Wahab Riaz for a duck. The pacer uprooted Saad Masood’s stumps and got James Neesham’s edge that carried to Sam Billings behind the wickets, as he completed his fifer.

In the game, Lahore Qalandars scored 241 as the batters looked unstoppable. Fakhar Zaman laid a 120-run partnership with Abdullah Shafique and an 88-run stand with Sam Billings to take his team to a massive total.

Zaman missed his century as he got out on 96 off 45, hitting three fours and 10 maximums! Shafique also played a brilliant knock of 75 off 41 as he hit five fours and sixes each and Billings gave the finish with his 47* off 23.
