New Delhi: Neeraj Chopra’s gold medal win at Tokyo Olympics triggered series of reactions by millions of sports lovers, who took to Twitter to congratulate the sportsperson.

India’s legendary sprinter PT Usha was one among all, who congratulated and thanked the Olympic gold medallist for winning India’s 1st Olympics gold in athletics.

PT Usha herself is a legendary achiever, who made the nation proud but missed out on medal in 1984 Games by a whisker.

“Realised my unfinished dream today after 37 years. Thank you my son @Neeraj_chopra1 #Tokyo2020,” Ms Usha tweeted, along with a photograph of her and Neeraj Chopra.

Despite narrowly missing out on medal in Olympics, PT Usha remained an inspiration for generations to come and thousands of women athletes consider her icon.
