In a recent interview with the Sports Tak arranged by Sony Sports Network, Arnold remarked that Gautam Gambhir’s India will be more “fierce and competitive”. This statement was in comparison to the previous side under Rahul Dravid.
Arnold reckoned that Gautam Gambhir has already managed successful IPL franchises in the past. However, the Sri Lankan reckoned that managing T20 franchises and managing the national side is altogether a different ball game.

“…It will be slightly different…”- Arnold sees a positive change in the Indian camp
Speaking about the change in tactics, Arnold remarked “Yes, it will be slightly different from how Rahul Dravid managed it…” However, the former Sri Lankan cricketer urged everyone to accept the positive changes that are taking place in the Indian camp.
While Gautam has joined as head coach, changes are there in the backroom staff as well. Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate who have both been part of the Knight Riders setup in the IPL have been added as Assistant coaches.
