New Delhi: The Indian cricket team is in a whirlpool of criticism once again after the embarrassing loss against New Zealand. One of the major debates that has erupted in the web of controversy is the debate between KL Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan.
The controversy arose when selectors compared the fate of Sarfaraz with that of Karun Nair who was also dropped from the side even after scoring a triple century. Moreover, the experts have also predicted that Rahul will be the one who will rob his place in the XI.

Coming to the point of Rahul, the right-arm batsman has been in and out of the side due to injury. After returning to the side, the right-hand wicket-keeper batsman has not been able to impress the selectors and managed only a 68-run knock in the first innings of the Kanpur Test against Bangladesh.
Subsequently, Rahul was dismissed for a duck in the first innings of the opening Test against New Zealand in Bengaluru and made 12 in the second essay as the hosts lost the game by eight wickets. As a result of their poor performance Rahul, the batsman was targeted on social media.

But it appears Gambhir is ready to give him a long rope. In the pre-match conference, Gautam Gambhir defended KL Rahul and remarked:

India has also roped in the services of Washington Sundar who will join the side for the 2nd and 3rd tests. Sundar’s inclusion can lead to a selection nightmare for Gambhir and Co., if the internal feuds are not sorted out soon.
