Sehwag shares photos of Pulwama martyrs’ children studying in his school; feels ‘privileged’ to contribute

Taking to Twitter today, the two times World Cup winner shared a series of photos of the martyrs’ children who are studying at Sehwag School.

New Delhi: February 14, 2019 marks a black day when a car laden with explosives exploded near a Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) convoy which was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu and Kashmir, killing 40 CRPF jawans.

As the nation pays homage to its bravehearts on 3rd anniversary of Pulwama terror attack, former cricketer Virender Sehwag paid heartfelt tributes to the jawans who made supreme sacrifice for the nation. He also took to social media to share as to how he felt privileged to become a ‘part of their family’.

Sehwag shared a post on Instagram with pictures of the lives lost in the Pulwama terror attack. He wrote alongside, “Heartfelt Tributes to all Our Bravehearts Martyred in the #PulwamaAttack on Feb 14, 2019. The valour and sacrifice of our heroes will be remembered forever. Jai Hind.”

Taking to Twitter, the two times World Cup winner shared a series of photos of the martyrs’ children who are studying at Sehwag School. He stated that “nothing can beat this happiness.”

“Very privileged to have been able to contribute in a small way in the lives of son of our heroes of #PulwamaAttack who have been studying at @SehwagSchool. Batsman-Arpit Singh s/o Shaheed Ram Vakeel & Bowler-Rahul Soreng s/o Shaheed Vijay Soreng. Nothing can beat this happiness,” wrote Sehwag.

Pulwama terror attack was carried out by a Pakistan-based terror group, Jaish-e-Mohammad.
