Cricketer Shafali Verma shares her class 12 result, scores 83.2% in CBSE board exams

The 19-year-old that led India to the Women’s U-19 World Cup win, achieved another feat off-the-field.

New Delhi: Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) released the class 12 and class 10 results recently and Indian young cricketer Shafali Verma took to her Instagram handle to share her class 12 result. India’s opening batter scored 83.2 percent marks in class 12 as she completes her schooling. The 19-year-old that led India to the Women’s U-19 World Cup win, achieved another feat off-the-field.

Shafali shared a picture of herself posing with her mark sheet and also shared a picture of herself in the Delhi Capitals’ jersey. The batter scored 93 in English, 53 in Hindi, 93 in Yoga, 91 in Painting, and 86 in Physical Education.

Sharing the pictures, Shafali wrote that she had another 80+ score but this time in class 12 board exams. She added that she is happy with her result and cannot wait to give her all to her ‘favourite subject’ cricket.

While she has achieved a lot at a young age and with smashing bowlers in the senior team, she has balanced her studies as well. There are many cricketers and sporting stars who have not completed their schooling or not scored well in exams, Shafali is one of those who balanced playing and studying.

On the work front, Shafali was last seen playing the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) for Delhi Capitals. She scored 252 runs in nine innings at an average of 31.50 and a whopping strike rate of 185.29. She scored 84 in the first game against RCB which was the other 80+ score by her in 2023. While DC played well, they lost the finals to Harmanpreet Kaur’s Mumbai Indians.
