The cricketers were seen recreating the heartwarming scene between Vedha and Shatak (or Vedha and Pulli in the original version). In the video, Shubman takes the role of Vedha while Ishan plays Shatak as the background music from the film plays. The video went viral on social media after both the batters contributed to India’s victory and were seen having fun together. The internet called it the ‘cutest’ and ‘most adorable’ bond. Meanwhile, their good performances have also made Indian cricket fans feel that they might be the permanent openers for India in future.
In the film, Vedha is played by Hrithik Roshan while Rohit Saraf plays Shatak. The film is getting a good response at the box office and is a fine action thriller.
In the game, Reeza Hendricks scored 74(76) and Aiden Markram hit 79(89), and Mohammed Siraj took three wickets for 38 runs to restrict South Africa’s total to 278/7. Shubman Gill scored a fine 28 off 26 while Ishan Kishan just missed the century after getting out for 93 off 84 deliveries. Kishan’s inning included 7 sixes and 4 fours. Meanwhile, it was Shreyas Iyer’s 113*(111) that stole the show. India managed to chase the score in 45.5 overs to win the game comfortably by seven wickets.
