Singer ‘King’ gears to perform at IPL closing ceremony, calls it ‘dream come true’

New Delhi: The Bollywood singer of some hit songs like ‘Maan Meri Jaan’ and ‘Aake Dekhle’ will be delivering a grand performance at the closing ceremony of the Indian Premiere League. Singer ‘King’ will be performing tomorrow at the Narendra Modi Stadium for the IPL closing ceremony.

The famous singer is all enthusiastic about the event as it will be his ‘dream come true’ opportunity. King called it the ‘highest peak point’ of his career, even ahead of his songs topping the charts and attaining the highest numbers. In an interview, he opined, “I’ve grown up with cricket… it’s in my DNA like every other Indian, and it makes me tremendously pleased to be a part of this celebration of cricket. I’m looking forward to exhibiting my talents at this historic event. Being able to perform at an event of this magnitude in front of the entire nation is also a major accomplishment for an independent musician.”

The King will be entertaining the audience with some of his blockbuster songs, including ‘Maan Meri Jaan’. He reiterated his love for Ahmedabad and called performing in the city the best feeling. However, excitement and nervousness had all juckled the popular singer.

For the unversed, singer King holds his original name as Arpan Kumar Chandel. He has garnered immense popularity with his superhit songs and raps. King became a household name with his blockbuster rap ‘Sahi Galat’ in Drishyam 2.
