New Delhi: Six-time World T20I Champions have announced their star-studded lineup which will look to usurp the crown once again for the 7th time. The Aussies will be led by their new captain Alyssa Healy after their all-time great Meg Lanning bid her goodbyes to the game. Interestingly, this will be the first time that Healy will be leading from the front. On the other hand, all-rounder Tahila McGrath has been named as the vice-captain of the side.

Speaking about the selection of Healy and McGrath in the leadership roles, selector Shawn Flegler was seen with brimming confidence that the girls can bring back the trophy once again from UAE.
It’s the first time Alyssa Healy will have the reins at a World Cup and we’ve already seen what her and Tahlia McGrath bring from a leadership perspective, so it’s exciting for them to have this opportunity to lead their country on the biggest stage.
In total, Australia has made 3 changes to the team that won the T20 World Cup last time against South Africa. Meg Lanning, Heather Graham and Jess Jonassen have been replaced by Tayla Vlaeminck, Phoebe Litchfield and Sophie Molineux. Phoebe Litchfield who will make her T20 World Cup debut will be an interesting player to look after and has been touted as the ‘X Factor’ in the Aussie side.
