New Delhi: Neeraj Chopra after winning silver medal in World Athletics Championships final with a throw of 88.13 metres said that the competition was tough and competitors were throwing on good average.
“I was confident I would perform well. I am satisfied with the result, I am happy I was able to win a medal for my country,” he said.
He said it became challenging for him, however he had learnt a lot.
Neeraj Chopra said that the hunger for gold will continue, but he knows that one cannot win gold each time.
He said that he will can and he will focus and concentrate on his training for better performance.
Taking about his Anderson, he said that he must have put in huge effort to cross 90 metres.
“He is world lead this year, throwing very good throws, several above 90 meters.”

He also talked about pressure and said that the fact he is an Olympic champion, he said that he believed in himself even after the third throw.
“I made a comeback & won silver, it felt good. I would try to change the colour of the medal next time,” said Neeraj Chopra.
