The firebrand cricket that GG has come up with has helped KKR win this year’s IPL with ease. Naturally, BCCI will be eying for a repeat of the same when it comes to the national side. At a recent event in Abu Dhabi, the former Indian cricketer has finally broken his silence. “I have not answered this question, although a lot of people have asked me….I would love to coach the Indian team…” With the confirmation coming from Gautam himself, it will be interesting to see how the entire selection stalemate ends.

BCCI had already issued a notification that the last date to fill up the application for BCCI head coach was 27th May. Gautam had not filled out the application by then. However, with a lack of “quality candidates“, as reported by BCCI to CricketNext, the former is considering some extraordinary measures for the appointment.
Naturally, there is a chance that Gautam can be handed his new job without the usual procedures of an interview for all the candidates who have filled out the form.
