Bangladesh has sent an exciting squad of a mix young and experienced players under a new captain Najmul Hossain Shanto.

New Delhi: Bangladesh is set to start their World Cup journey in the USA and the West Indies by playing a 3-match series against the United States. Post that the team will straight away jump into the cauldron of the World Cup where they take on Sri Lanka for their first match.

However, the Tigers have to answer some tough questions ahead of the upcoming World Cup. The most important question that lingers around the squad is the form of their wicket-keeper batsman Litton Das. Although Litton is part of the playing XI, the latter has managed to score only 79 runs in his last 6 T20Is. Furthermore, Das also lost his place recently for the final two T20Is against Zimbabwe.

Speaking about the pressure and expectations to deliver, Das wrote on BCB’s official Facebook page “I don’t think there is nothing to overthink during bad times because you are going through a bad patch the more you overthink it will only be bad for you.” Litton’s return to form will be vital to the team’s success in the World Cup given after the retirement of Mushfiqur Rahim.
