Golfer Aditi Ashok’s ‘golden run’ at Olympics, stands at 2nd spot after World No 1

23-year old Aditi holds the second position in Women’s Individual Stroke Play. She representing Indian in golf for the second time in Olympics. 

New Delhi: Tokyo Olympics 2020 seems to be as a revival for Indian sports and its spirits. From Indian contingent outshining and nabbing medals at the Olympics to Indian audiences preferring hockey and other sports over cricket, this Olympics suggests a major swap for the sports aeon.

In the row, Golfer Aditi Ashok carded a three-under 67 in the third round at the Kasumigaseki Country Club in Tokyo.

23-year old Aditi holds the second position in Women’s Individual Stroke Play. She representing Indian in golf for the second time in Olympics.

Aditi who hails from Bengaluru, earlier made history in Rio Olympics by becoming the first women golfer to represent India in Olympics. Also, she was the youngest contestant to participate in Women Golf Tournament in Rio 2016.

Aditi has successfully kept herself in the gold hunt in Women’s Individual since day 1. If the final round is cancelled tomorrow due to the rain, she will be a dominant claimant of silver medal given her second highest scores in the previous rounds.
