
On Monday, Shooter Avani Lekhara created history and becomes the first Indian woman to win a gold medal at the Paralympics. She made her way
to the top in the R-2 women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event. The 19-year-old equalled the world record with a total score of 249.6 by also making it a new Paralympic record.
