New Delhi: Soon after cricketer Robin Uthappa announced his retirement, his name started trending on Twitter. Under the hashtag of his name, many cricket fans shared heartfelt messages and thanked the cricketer for his game. Announcing his retirement on Twitter, Robin also shared a heartfelt note to thank his fans, family and teammates.
Uthappa made his first international debut in 2006 and played 46 ODIs and 12 T20Is for India. He was also part of the Indian squad for the T20I World Cup in 2007 in South Africa. In the IPL, he played for Kolkata Knight Rider in 2014, and Chennai Super King in 2021 and 2022.
He started his domestic career in 2002-03 with Karnataka and played the last match with Kerala for the 2020-21 season.
