It is reported that Mbappe might feature in a masked encasing which can protect his nose from further damage.

New Delhi: France experienced a bittersweet memory against Austria at the Fortuna Dusseldorf arena. On one hand, Les Bleus managed to kickstart their Euro campaign with a win over the Austrian side, on the other hand, their captain and talismanic forward Kylian Mbappe has suffered a brutal nose injury.

So far, according to various media outlets, Kylian Mbappe has reportedly suffered a ‘broken nose’. The incident occurred towards the fag end of the second half when Mbapped clashed heads with the towering Austrian defender Kevin Danso.

Patrick Pentz, the Austrian goalkeeper called for immediate attention as the French captain was soaked in blood. However, the Austrian fans did not positively take the incident and criticised the French captain for time wastage. Subsequently, there were a lot of cuss words and boos hurled at the French captain who was taken aback by such a ferocious and hostile reception!

Will the Real Madrid star call it a quit at the Euros 2024?

France’s head Didier Deschamps has said, “He has got a really bad nose, We’ll have to wait and see..” When asked about whether Real Madrid’s recruit will be fit to play or not? The French coach remarked that they are ‘analysing’ the best possible scenario that is in their hands!

Kylian was taken to a nearby hospital in Dusseldorf for examinations before joining the team at Paderborn. The French team is surrounded by a precarious conundrum about whether their captain can make it in time in Leipzig to take the field against the Dutch.

It is reported that Mbappe might feature in a masked encasing which can protect his nose from further damage. World Cups has featured many players with the mask who have earned the attention of social media. Everyone remembers the masked defender Joško Gvardiol in the 2022 WC. Likewise, are we going to see a “masked” forward on the lines in this year’s Euro?
