New Delhi: The US Open which is the final Grand Slam of the ATP calendar year is all set and running at the Flushing Meadows in New York. All eyes will be on Novak Djokovic who will enter the competition as the Olympic champion. However, Djokovic’s arch-nemesis, Carlos Alcaraz is also into the fray and will look to hunt for his second US Open title.
Meanwhile, the Indian challenge will be led by Sumit Nagal. On the other hand, the second-seeded men’s doubles pair of Rohan Bopanna and Australia’s Mathew Ebden will be battling out in the middle. The duo recently won the Australian Open.
Meanwhile, in the women’s singles, all eyes will be on home spirit Coco Gauff who is also the defending champion of the US Open.
Prize Money of the US Open
Apart from the silverware, all the players also have their eyes set on the prize pool of the US Open which is an enormous amount of $ 75 million. The bifurcation includes $ 3.6 million for the single category champion while the runner-up will have $ 1.8 million. Meanwhile, the Men’s and women’s doubles champions will get $ 750,000. Lastly, the mixed doubles winners will get $ 200,000.
