New Delhi: Team India ended its 11-year trophy drought to become the ICC T20 Champions for the second time in 17 years. Under the aegis of Rohit Sharma, the Men in Blue stormed into the finals of the T20 Champion after an unbeaten run throughout the entire tournament.
Last year, the men in blue failed to cross the final threshold as they suffered a catastrophic loss against Australia. However, this time around the men in blue were able to cross the line as they won a nervy game against South Africa. One of the mainstays of India’s wonderful performance in this edition of the World Cup has been Jasprit Bumrah who has been steadfast with his performance throughout the tournament.
Everyone remembers the fiery spell against Pakistan which brought back team India back into the game. In the finals also when the match reached a stalemate at 30 runs off 30 balls, it was the final over spell which pulled back the game in India’s favour.

Amidst all the celebration in Barbados, Sanjana Ganesan who is a TV presenter, sports correspondent and Bumrah’s wife was seen joining in the celebration alongside his husband and the entire team. Sanjana and Bumrah were seen in a post-match interview after which the Indian pacer embraced his wife as emotions took over.
Sanjana Ganesan is an ICC presenter who interviews players on behalf of ICC and she is also Bumrah’s wife.

The video of the entire incident went viral on social media as fans went jubilant after India’s win. Interestingly, Bumrah and Sanjana have always been the talk of the netizens for their ‘couple goals’ moments. On the other hand, with 15 wickets in the entire campaign, Bumrah also received the Player or the Tournament.
