New Delhi: Pakistan has been a side with unpredictable and unprecedented results that make the world of cricket crazy. A similar situation occurred on the 6th of June when the minnows team of the United States of America defeated Pakistan. In the David and Goliath fight, the USA featured in their maiden T20 World Cup while Pakistan had already won the 2009 T20 World Cup.

On the other hand, Indian cricket analysts have found the lacklustre performance to be a centre of comical amusement. Replying to Akhtar’s post, Wasim Jaffer remarked Pakistan as “Paniscstan” in his X(formerly twitter) post.

What happened in the match?
On a good pacey wicket, the USA skipper Monank Patel decided to chase the total after winning the toss. Pakistan was supper sloppy with bat and apart from useful contributions from Shadab Khan, captain Babar Azam and some flurry down the order by Shaheen Afridi, nobody was up to the mark. Eventually, Pakistan ended with 159 on the board.
On the other hand, for the USA, the man of the hour was Saurabh Netravalkar for his exceptional bowling. When it came to batting it was a team effort led by captain Monank from the front. In the end, the match was tied and ended in a super over. The main twist comes in the super over where a combination of sloppy fielding and erratic bowling from Amir, Pakistan ended up concerning 18 runs.
In return, Pakistani batsmen came out to bat with a positive intent. However, Netravalkar made sure that his team wades through the tricky situation The left-hander conceded only 12 runs and even took 1 wicket to win the game for his side.
