New Delhi: South Africa and cricket have been a tale of disappointments and bad luck. Every time the Proteas have looked to steer the ship of destiny, they have failed to make an impact at the final threshold.
However, Aiden Markram and his boys have done something extraordinary to chuck out their bad luck and storm into the finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. This stark transformation in the fortunes of South African cricket has been fuelled by a desire for money which has pushed them to various corners of the World in the T20 Leagues.
Furthermore, the start of the SA T20 has also played a major role in the transformation of the Proteas in the shortest format of the game. Now, as the legend of South African cricket looks to enjoy the finals on a bright sunny weekend, the Proteas will look to break the jinx and claim their maiden World Cup trophy.

Coming to the game, Rabada and Jansen wreaked havoc on the Afghani batting lineup. When asked about the ‘chokers’ tag, the left arm quick said, “I’m too young, I don’t believe in that any more…” Jansen added that the entire team is glad that they were able to play collectively and churn out a win for the team.
South Africa’s disciplined bowling folded the entire Afghanistan innings for 56. It was also the lowest score in a semifinal. Jansen was awarded the Man of the Match award for his remarkable performance of 3/16. Supporting Jansen, Rabada also claimed 2/14 to seal the deal for the proteas.
