New Delhi: In the opening match of the Super Fours clash between India and Pakistan, India lost to their arch-rivals by 5 wickets on Sunday at the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. A video from the match has been going around the internet which shows Rohit Sharma asking for an explanation from Rishabh Pant for his poor dismissal. Pant managed to score 14 off 12 balls before getting out at a reverse sweep. As soon as he went to the dressing room, skipper Rohit Sharma was seen asking Pant the reason for his poor shot selection.

The video also shows Pant presenting his views to Rohit Sharma as to why he played the shot. Moreover, Pant is facing tough competition from Dinesh Karthik in the playing eleven. Besides, he needs to understand that his inclusion comes with a premium.
The top-order batters showed their capability to put India to a stiff of 181 for 7 against Pakistan in an Asia Cup Super 4 match. Skipper Rohit Sharma (28) and KL Rahul (28) played extraordinarily well at the power play while Virat Kohli was back in form with his 60 runs.
What everyone wished from India’s top order was a change in mindset and the strike rates of 175 (Rohit), 140 (Rahul) and 136 (Kohli) added to that. Kohli deserved the maximum credit for the total score India achieved against Pakistan’s spinners especially leg-spinner Shadab Khan (2/31 in 4 overs), who got important wickets of Rahul and Rishabh Pant (14).
