Watch: Virat Kohli’s bizzare shot leaves the entire social media bewildered!

New Delhi: India’s most experienced batter, Virat Kohli who is known as a good player in spin bowling succumbed to a rash shot bowled by the New Zealand left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) stadium in Pune on Friday. India was in a turbulent position when the men in blue lost the wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill.

However, instead of playing a measured innings, the former Indian batsman chose to play a rash shot and got himself bowled. Kohli came out to bat on the 24th over and was dismissed by a low full toss. Kohli was supposed to play the ball with a straight bat which he played with a cross bat.

Subsequently, the former Indian skipper had to pay the price for his irresponsible shot. The ball sneaked past Kohli’s bat and uprooted the middle and leg stump. Kohli’s brief stay at the crease saw him score just a single in his innings.

The former India captain was left in utter disbelief following his dismissal. He stood frozen for a few moments, visibly shaken, before venting his frustration by swinging his bat in anger. As he walked back to the dugout, shaking his head in disappointment, the Pune crowd was stunned into silence, struggling to process what had just happened.
