In a viral video on social media, Virat was seen orchestrating the crowd in Chinnaswamy to cheer while Bumrah ran in to bowl the delivery.

New Delhi: Indian cricketer Virat Kohli orchestrated the crowd on the final day of the 1st Test match against New Zealand. The Men in Blue required something special in their attempt to stop a talented Kiwi side within 107 runs.

India came into the day needing 10 wickets to beat New Zealand and Jasprit Bumrah handed them the perfect start after he dismissed Tom Latham for a duck. In a viral video on social media, Virat was seen orchestrating the crowd in Chinnaswamy to cheer while Bumrah ran in to bowl the delivery.

‘Crowd Control’ from Virat Kohli:

Rachin Ravindra- The new Kiwi star

Meanwhile, while the theatrics at the Bengaluru unfolded, a young and talented New Zealand cricketer, Rachin Ravindran quietly made his way into the middle and claimed the Player of the Match award for his contributions in the 1st Test Match.

Ravindra notched up his second Test century on Day 3 of the first Test as he played a marvellous knock of 134 (157). Ravindra’s innings consisted of 13 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 85.35. Courtesy of his innings, New Zealand took a massive 356-run lead in the first innings after bundling out India for just 46.

The job was not finished here, the left-hander scored a brilliant 39* (46) in the second innings to help his team chase down a modest target of 107 and win the match by eight wickets. Ravindra has been in amazing form in the subcontinent. Earlier, in the 2-match test series, Rachin had scored a fantastic 92 in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle.

Although New Zealand lost the series, 2-0 the young batsman has shown the way for what the experts believed to be the next ‘Fab 4’ in the making in red-ball cricket.
