New Delhi: After winning the 2-match test series against New Zealand, Sri Lanka will be hosting West Indies for a three-match ODI and T20I series. Both teams will look to build on their recent whiteball performances.
Sri Lanka will be looking to build on their recent red ball cricket resurgence heralded under the guidance of Sanath Jayasuriya. On the other hand, the Caribbeans had a T20I World Cup to forget. However, since then the Calypso Kings have bounced back strongly with a 3-0 whitewash against T20I series.
West Indies have faltered badly in the Test arena, languishing at the bottom of the WTC table. However, the white-ball is something that resides in the forte of the Windies cricket team. West Indies will aim to capitalize on their recent T20 success while seeking to improve their performance in ODIs, where they have had mixed results lately.
