New Delhi: Lotus365 is one of the earliest online gaming ventures in India as the gambling and betting website began in 2016. It is one of the most popular gaming websites and a large number of people put their money into gambling and betting through their services. The firm is in the limelight again as its full-page advertisements have emerged in newspapers despite a ban last month.
What is Lotus365?
Lotus365 is a gaming and betting platform providing services in cricket, football, poker, teen patti, roulette and other games. Reportedly, it currently functions under the domain lotus365.in. Being one of the oldest in the business, the website and the app have served over one crore users.
The company was among the 138 betting apps banned by the Indian government last month for their Chinese affiliations. The company changed its domain from lotus365.com to lotus365.in, however, their website currently shows a 404 error due to a server issue.
Recently, as the IPL 2023 began, the company had front-page ads in newspapers which led to a clamour against the website as netizens thought it was banned. Actors including Nawazuddin Siddique and Urvashi Rautela also faced a backlash for promoting it. The emergence of these advertisements sparked a debate about the legitimacy of online gambling and betting portals.

Why Lotus365 became popular for online gambling?
Being a pioneer, Lotus365 had the first mover advantage and services in multiple areas made them users’ go-to website. Besides games, it also provided a range of online casinos to gamble.
