New Delhi: Tamil Nadu batter Narayan Jagadeesan made the headlines in the media reports on Monday after he smashed 277 runs in 141 balls during the Vijay Hazari Trophy match between his home state and Arunachal Pradesh. The match was held in Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium. He not only scored two tons but also break the record of Virat Kohli’s most consecutive centuries in a single season match.
Notably, the quarter-final matches for the tournament will start on November 26, followed by the semi-final on November 30. The final match is scheduled to start on December 2 at 9 AM.
Who is Narayan Jagadeesan?
Narayan Jagadeesan was born in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore on December 24, 1995. The 26-year-old cricketer played his first-class debut for Tamil Nadu in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy on October 27, 2016. During this time, he won the player of the match title.
Earlier, Virat Kohli was at the top position in the ranking for the most consecutive centuries in a single season match with 4 hundred. Kohli is followed by Prithvi Shaw (4), Ruturaj Gaikwad (4), and Devdutt Padikkal (4).
