New Delhi: Pakistani sportsperson Tulsi Meghwar has been a hot topic of discussion on social media these days.
Hailing from a Sindh-based Hindu family, the 21-year-old has scripted history by becoming the only Pakistani Hindu girl to get crowned as the national champion of softball and baseball.
Who is Tulsi Meghwar?
What’s surprising is that just a few years back, Tulsi was not aware of anything related to baseball or softball. However, her fate took a major turn in 2016 after she participated in a local sports camp organized by her school and learned about the craze and popularity of baseball and softball in North America.
Today, the 21-year-old has made her name by participating in several sporting events in her country including three local Olympics, two baseball national games & two Sindh games.
What Tulsi’s father say about her success?
Speaking about the success of his hardworking daughter, Tulsi’s father Harji Meghwar, who is a journalist by profession, said that she feels lucky to have such parents who had her back in the toughest times and kept motivating her to excel in her career.
Harji also spoke about the difficulties he faced when he decided to get his daughter educated after many people in his community started to protest against him for the same. However, without caring about anyone’s opinion, he continued to encourage Tulsi in her studies and otherwise.
What’s next for Tusli Meghwar?
Later, while opening up about her journey in the sports industry, Tulsi revealed that she faced mixed reactions from the people of her community when she entered the world of sports. While some supported her and gave her their best wishes, others tried to pull her back by discouraging her career choices.
However, she stayed focused on her goals and kept making efforts to improve herself in both baseball & softball. Her family is now determined to leave no stone unturned to help Tulsi represent her country internationally.
