New Delhi: The prolific Australian batsman, Glenn Maxwell, is making headlines after his 201 not-out heroics against Afghanistan on Tuesday, which saw the five-time champions Australia qualify for the semifinals of the ODI World Cup for a record ninth time. Maxwell came out to bat when Australia had lost 4 wickets for just 49 runs. He started his innings slowly, but after the mighty Aussies were reduced to 91 for 7, the big show decided to counterattack the opposition. He was batting with a strike rate of just 87 before he was given a second chance when Mujeeb dropped a sitter on the backward point when Maxwell was only on 33. The big show, despite cramping throughout the innings, went on to add 168 runs after that with a strike rate of 180+, to take his team home with 3 wickets and 19 balls to spare. Look at him..
