“Who made Babar Azam the captain in the first place?” Shoaib Akhtar takes a dig at the Pakistan cricket crisis

Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has come out with his view and opinion on the Pakistan cricket team crisis surrounding captaincy.

New Delhi: Former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar has come out with yet another criticism of the Pakistani cricket team and Babar Azam’s captaincy. Pakistan cricket team and Babar Azam have been under tremendous criticism as they faced an early exit from the T20 World Cup.

Pakistan’s captaincy decision has been like a passing-the-parcel affair. After the ODI World Cup 2023, Babar lost his place as a captain and Shaheen was reinstated as captain. However, just months before the T20 World Cup, Shaheen was sacked under mysterious circumstances.

This lack of stability at the top is one of the main causes of mayhem in the team. A captain is like a rudder to the ship. Now, if the rudder becomes unstable, the ship is bound to scuttle down!

Akhtar’s pricky questions towards captaincy!

“Who made Babar Azam the captain in the first place? Who was the Einstein by the way? I need to know that guy….” were the exact words of Shoaib Akhtar as he directed his angst and fury towards his team.

The chaotic confusion in the internal is very irksome according to the former Pakistani pacer also known as the “Rawalpindi Express”. Akhtar feels that Babar as a batsman needs to finish games for Pakistan. For that, the Pakistani batsman needs to come a little down the order.

Furthermore, Akhtar also feels that if Babar does not become a proper finisher for the Pakistani team, the latter could lose his place in the Playing XI eventually.
