New Delhi: Virat Kohli scored a stupendous century against Bangladesh on Saturday. With 113 runs off just 91 balls, Kohli reached his 44th hundred in ODIs. This innings is more special as it comes after a long drought of centuries in ODIs for Virat.

Virat Kohli and Ishan Kishan set up an exceptional partnership of 290 runs and led the team to a gigantic total of 409 runs for 8 wickets. Ishan Kishan scored a double century in just 126 balls. He now holds the record for fast double century in One Day International history.

Also, Virat Kohli left behind Ricky Pointing’s record and is now the second highest century scorer in One Day International history. He is now just behind the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.

Previously, Bangladesh won the toss and captain Litton Das opted to bowl first. His decision didn’t turn out to be in their favor as KL Rahul led Indian side put forth a gigantic total of 409 runs against the hosts. After an early departure of Shikhar Dhawan, Virat and Ishan set up a great partnership and led India to a stable and dominant position. Later with the help of good finish by Axar Patel and Washington Sundar, India surpassed 400 runs.
