AIPA
The AIPA i.e. the All India Pickleball Association is the governing body of Pickleball in the country. AIPA has already started its engagement & development programme by identifying talented players and providing them with training in skills, diet, physical endurance, and mental conditioning, under the watchful eyes of specialists in their respective fields.
The idea of the AIPA was the brainchild of President Shri Arvind Ramesh Prabhoo while the game was introduced to the Indians by Mr. Sunil Valavalkar in 2007. However, there are many roadblocks yet in the way to make the game popular amongst the masses. One of the main hindrances towards making the game popular was to get the sport recognised by the Government and the Sports Authority of India.
Although things are progressing slowly towards getting the paperwork required to make the game popular in the country, the main job of AIPA will be to make the game popular amongst the masses.
