New Delhi: The inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League will begin on March 4. With all the excitement leading upto the tournament, it is one of the most anticipated and biggest sports leagues across the globe. Teams have announced their captains and held their pre-tournament press meets to gear up.
From behind-the-scene videos and practice sessions to press meets, all five teams are bringing up exciting content off-the-field too. Here is how the teams are gearing up for this big step in the game of cricket:
Royal Challenger Bangalore
Everyone is aware of the large fanbase of RCB. The fans are now up to supporting the women’s team and loving their captain Smriti Mandhana in the RCB colours. The franchise is also sharing pictures and videos of Mandhana during the team photoshoot.

Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals announced T20 World Cup-winning captain Meg Lanning as their skipper along with India’s star batter Jemimah Rodrigues as her deputy. The team held a press meet and the pictures from the event viral on the internet.

Mumbai Indians

Gujarat Giants will be playing the opening encounter against Mumbai Indians on March 4 at 7:30 pm IST. Captain Beth Mooney and vice-captain Sneh Rana were spotted at the photoshoot.
