New Delhi: The inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League will begin on March 4. With all the excitement leading upto the tournament, it is one of the most anticipated and biggest sports leagues across the globe. Teams have announced their captains and held their pre-tournament press meets to gear up.

From behind-the-scene videos and practice sessions to press meets, all five teams are bringing up exciting content off-the-field too. Here is how the teams are gearing up for this big step in the game of cricket:

Royal Challenger Bangalore

Everyone is aware of the large fanbase of RCB. The fans are now up to supporting the women’s team and loving their captain Smriti Mandhana in the RCB colours. The franchise is also sharing pictures and videos of Mandhana during the team photoshoot.

RCB also shared a video of Heather Knight, Sophie Devine and Mike Hesson at the practice session in Mumbai.

Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals announced T20 World Cup-winning captain Meg Lanning as their skipper along with India’s star batter Jemimah Rodrigues as her deputy. The team held a press meet and the pictures from the event viral on the internet.

The franchise is also using Jemimah’s singing and off-the-field chirpiness for their social media campaign, and her fans are surely loving it.

The team also shared the videos of training sessions with short interviews of Taniyaa Bhatia, Poonam Yadav, Tara Norris and Shikha Pandey.

Mumbai Indians

MI has a huge global fanbase and they never fail to impress them. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading the team and she was recently present at the jersey presentation of the team. She also held a social media live session to interact with the fans.

Mumbai Indians also shared a video of New Zealand’s star batter and amazing fielder Amelia Kerr in the nets.

Gujarat Giants

Gujarat Giants will be playing the opening encounter against Mumbai Indians on March 4 at 7:30 pm IST. Captain Beth Mooney and vice-captain Sneh Rana were spotted at the photoshoot.

Gianst also has the Indian team’s social media star Harleen Deol and she was seen playing with a dog during a practice session, on the other hand, Mansi Joshi was flaunting her football skills in a cricket team.

UP Warriorz

UP Warriorz had a dinner party and a team photoshoot before they begin their campaign. From Alyssa Healy to Anjali Sarvani, everyone dressed in amazing outfits.

They also had a photoshoot in chikankari outfits, which are a specialty of Lucknow.
