New Delhi: The WPL 2024 auction, on Saturday, ended up as a huge success as all five teams got what they wanted in their team for the upcoming season.
A total of 165 players went under the hammer for the 30 open slots, with 21 Indian and 9 overseas players, finding out their new home in the WPL 2024.
Indian uncapped player Kashvee Gautam created history by becoming the joint most expensive player with Annabel Sutherland in the auction, with a final price of Rs 2 crore.

Kashvee joined the Gujarat Giants squad, while Sutherland went on her way to the Delhi Capitals camp. Vrinda Dinesh (UPW, 1.3 cr) and Shabnim Ismail (MI, 1.2 cr), were the next two most expensive players in the auction.
