New Delhi: Haryanvi Wrestler Anshu Malik won Silver at the Commonwealth Games 2022 on Friday. She lost to Nigeria’s Odunayo Adekuoroye in women’s 57 kg freestyle wrestling in the finals by 3-7. Notably, Adekuoroye won the third consecutive Gold medal at CWG.

Before the finals, Anshu defeated Australia’s Symeonidis in the quarterfinals by Technical Superiority. She also beat Nethmi Poruthotage of Sri Lanka in the semis.
Notably, Anshu holds the record of becoming the first woman from India to win a silver medal at the World Wrestling Championships. She also won medals at the Asian Wrestling Championships.
