New Delhi: Indian men's cricket team is set to face Australia in the World Test Championship Final and the players have begun their training sessions in London. The important part of their preparation includes adapting to conditions and shifting from white ball to red ball. Throwing light on the preparations, India's coaching staff talked about getting into the groove for the one-off Test. In a video shared by BCCI, the Indian players can be seen practicing in the nets while coaches Paras Mhambrey, T Dilip, and Vikram Rathour talk about their plans. Bowling coach Paras Mhambrey said that initially, it was about 'easing into the practice sessions' but they pushed the bowlers in the last two sessions. He added that he is happy with the conditions and the weather. Mhambrey said that the day before the match will be off for bowlers so they will push them in the coming sessions. He said that the ground fielding has been covered in IPL and the focus is on catching, especially close, flat and slip catches. Skipper Rohit Sharma has also joined the Indian team in London. WTC Final 2023 will take place at The Oval, London from June 7 onwards.
