“Yaar, mujhe kya pata tha isse Hindi aati hain…”: Rishabh Pant’s remarks goes viral on social media

Rishabh Pant’s latest theatrics from behind the stumps have found him once again become a famous personality on the Social Media.

New Delhi: Rishabh Pant is always at his hilarious best while keeping wickets for the national side. The left-hander has found comical amusement through a variety of styles, often using his sharp tongue to hurl out witty phrases. Now, such phrases have become viral on social media in the past. Similarly, Pant’s recent remarks against Ajaz Patel have found him once again in the gossip circles of social media.

The viral video:

What was the controversy?

In the 78th over of New Zealand’s innings, Patel smashed Sundar for a boundary with a stunning shot over the long-on boundary. Just before the Indian spinner was about to deliver the ball, Pant was heard advising him to bowl a fuller line. After the New Zealand spinner spoiled his plan, Pant was quick to defend himself. The Indian wicket-keeper claimed he was not aware that Patel would understand what he was saying.

Day 1 of the 2nd Test:

On a tricky and spinning wicket, New Zealand skipper Tom Latham won a crucial toss and without any second thoughts chose to bat first. The Kiwi captain perished cheaply as the Black Caps lost the first wicket for 32. New Zealand was heading towards a mini collapse against India. However, the New Zealand innings was saved by the fightback shown by Devon Conway (76 off 141) and Rachin Ravindra (65 off 105). Some last-moment striking from the lower-order batsman, Mitchell Santner took the score to 259.

However, the day has belonged to Washington Sundar and his sensational 7/59- a performance with which he showcased his attributes and control with the ball. Picked ahead of Kuldeep Yadav, the 25-year-old off-spinner delivered the goods in some style, making the most of the help that was on offer. What makes it all the more memorable is the manner of a lot of the dismissals.
