“You feel the need to entertain them…” Naseem Shah points fingers towards PCB for the Rawalpinidi Loss

Naseem Shah has called out the Pakistan Cricket Board for not giving the favourable pitch to the bowlers as they slumped to a 10-wicket loss.

New Delhi: On a green pitch of Rawalpindi, against the odds Bangladesh has scripted a scintillating chapter in their cricketing history as they defeated Pakistan’s team in front of their home crowd. Although there will be a lot of finger-pointing at each other after, the men in green have only themselves to blame for their apathy.

From the shock decision of declaring the innings mid-way which led to Rizwan’s missed double-century opportunity to slumping to 146 runs in the second innings. Furthermore, Pakistan’s struggle against spin in the second innings was exposed once again as Shakib al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz ran riot in the Pakistani batting lineup. Shakib ended with figures of 3/44 from 17 overs while Mehidy ended with 4/21 from 11.5 overs. As a result, the Bangladeshi batsman got the required cushion to win the game.

However, in the middle of all this, Pakistani pace bowler Naseem Shah has come out and hit back at the Pakistan Cricket Board which has raised some serious questions about the lack of awareness of the board in a bilateral series.

Naseem Shah’s glaring allegations!

At the end of the 4th day, with a draw staring at the face of the team, a dejected Naseem Shah was seen remarking, “We didn’t get the help we expected from the pitch…” Bilateral series are usually played on such pitches that are conducive to the home team. However, in this situation, Pakistan was not able to exact the benefits of the home conditions.

Moreover, Shah alleged that as the day went on the pitch became extremely dry due to the blazing sun. This made the all-out pace attack of Pakistan ineffective. According to Naseem, the right-hand pacer requested the board if not pace-friendly then at least give spin-friendly pitches to make the best use of the available spinners.
