New Delhi: Days after Yuzvendra Chahal opened up on being harassed by a drunk Mumbai Indian player in 2013, now Durham is said to “speak privately” with their head coach James Franklin following his allegations that he had made few months ago.

In a statement sent to ESPNcricinfo, Durham said that they are aware about the recent news and the club will  be speaking speaking privately with all parties involved to determine the facts.

Earlier, Chahal had also alleged that Franklin – along with another Mumbai player, Andrew Symonds  had “tied his hands and legs” and “taped his mouth” and left him in a room overnight

This incident is said to have taken place when the Mumbai Indians were celebrating their win in the Champions League final that year.

Chahal had said that the players were so lost that they left him all alone in a room with tied hands and mouth. It was only when someone came in the morning to clean the room found him and saw him and untied him.

When he was asked about if Symonds and Franklin had apologised after that incident, Chahal said, “No, they were so drunk that they didn’t remember about the incident.”

This allegations were made by Chahal few months ago on a Royal Challengers Bangalore podcast but this has come to notice only after  he spoke about the 2013 incident where a drunk Mumbai team-mate had hung him from the 15th floor balcony.

Rajasthan Royal’s spinner Yuzvendra Chahal had revealed in a recent video about a horrific incident that took place during his stint with Mumbai Indians in 2013 and said ‘not many people know about it.’

Yuzvendra Chahal, played for Mumbai Indians team in 2013. The 31-year-old spinner later joined Royal Challengers Bangalore and was part of it for eight years.
