Zimbabwe Cricketer Heath Streak passes away at 49, Wife Nadine confirms his demise

In 68 ODIs, he led Zimbabwe to win 18 and lost 45 while three finished at draw. In 21 test matches he has been the captain and led four wins and 11 lost and six without any result.

New Delhi: Former Zimbabwe captain Heath streak passed away at the age of 49 as confirmed by his family. Streaks wife Nadine took to facebook to share the news of his demise. A few days ago there were rumours about his death , however the news is official this time  as Streak’s wife herself confirmed the news through her social media post.

Taking to facebook Nadine wrote, In the early hours of this Sunday morning September 3, the greatest love of my life and the father to my beautiful children was carried by the angles to his home where he wished to be spent his last days surrounded by his family and closest friend. Our souls are joined for eternity, streaky. Till I hold you again.

Streak made his international debut in 1993 and turned into one of the finest all rounder of his playing days. Streak was suffering from cancer and survived his last breath on this Sunday morning. He played 65 test series and 189 ODIs until 2005. He also coached a handful of some International teams. He had been the Captain of Zimbabwe in 21 test and also had been most-capped skipper for the team.  He has skippered Zimbabwe in 68 ODIs, the second most after Alistair Campbell who has played so in 68 games.
