The attack took place in the eastern DRC city of Goma in the North Kivu Province, located next to the border with Rwanda and Uganda, Sputnik reported.
WHO is already on the ground in Mbandaka supporting the response to this outbreak. Contact tracing is also underway in the country.
The plane, operated by the local company Busy Bee, crashed during takeoff for a flight to the city of Beni, Xinhua news agency quoted North Kivu Governor Carly Nzanzu Kasivita's office statement.
